Marco Randazzo

Was born in Avola in 1983. He graduated at the Academy of Catania, he specialized in Visual Arts in Milan, where he now lives and continues his research. Marco's approach to painting is a sort of necessity, a spontaneous and audacious search that starts from a very young age, when he started experimenting with the use of pasty and bright colors spread on canvases with large material backgrounds that, more often than not , dominate the action of the sign on the canvas. Today he is a conscious painter and the material is still at the center of his research. In the last period his works have left a lot of room for the action of the line, aimed at seeking the completeness of painting together with color. Stretched out to find its quintessence, Marco Randazzo's painting exploits imperfect textures and geometries to give ever greater importance to the light of the first white layer on the canvas, where circle-like shapes follow one another performed with the help of a support or freehand. Sometimes they stand out on very light backgrounds, other times on collages of newspapers and newspapers. The color contributes with the sign to create a balance of multi-sensorial experiences that for the artist concretize what with the words "he cannot say"; the difficulty of this action is evident by observing the cuts, drippings, holes and tears on the canvas. Marco Randazzo's entire production testifies his awareness of colors and shapes, without ever hiding what his daily inspirations are and the models of his painting. Marco's work manages to merge the daily inspirations drawn from contemporary music with the illustrious models of the musicality of the Masters of Abstraction in the early twentieth century and with the search for the third dimension of Lucio Fontana.
