Federica D'Antoni
Born in Caltanissetta on 04/07/1991, Federica D'Antoni approaches the world of communication and the study of art already in adolescence, experimenting the first approach with the photographic medium through the use of the family analogue, with film in black and white, and deepening the development techniques with the help of a small dark room reconstructed between the domestic environments. After scientific studies, she moved to Milan, where she attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in Artistic Design for the company. During her academic career, she had the opportunity to deepen her graphic communication, the perception of color and the history of photography, increasing her interest and knowledge about the photographic medium and great artists, who have made the photographic shot a mirror of stories whose reality is still tangible. Immersed in the new city and in the panorama of contemporary art, it acquires a multiple reading and begins to experience a new "image capture": the place is the street, the randomness is the subject. From Nan Goldin to Robert Capa her interest moves following the line of the purity of the moment, originally shooting in black and white and subsequently experimenting with little vivid colors, up to the "Settantuno" project, in which she uses a subject for the first time posing with a saturated color. Since April 2015 she has been joining the independent contemporary artistic collective "MOTHER", with which she participates in a series of traveling exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She currently lives and works in Sicily, dealing with digital communication, illustration production, graphics and photo and video production.
